CHOIR ACTIVITY IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED
FOR DETAILS PLEASE GO TO FUTURE CONCERTS or INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS Welcome! The Orpheus Choir of North Herts, based in Hitchin, is an established and popular chamber choir founded in 1969, with a repertoire ranging from early music - Bach, Vivaldi, Monteverdi and many others - to (more or less) up to date arrangements of folk tunes and jazz standards. Click on 'About us' and 'Concerts' for an idea of who we are and what we do - further details can be found under the 'Future' and 'Previous' concert sub-headings. The 'General Membership Details' page will give you information on our recruitment policy, the 'Rehearsals' and 'Current fees' sub-headings tell you where we sing and how much it all costs and Information for members does what you would expect - tells our singers what they need to know about rehearsal and concert dates. Singing mostly a cappella or with organ accompaniment, we present three or four concerts a year in a variety of venues. We would love to see you at one of these performances (see under 'Future concerts' for details) or if you would like us to sing for your church or charity, please look at our 'Booking the choir' page.
